When should I rebuild my lineups?

Written by Jordan Chand

SaberSim runs new sims whenever we get new information about the slate. After a sim runs, you’ll see the refresh button in the upper left turn green, indicating that you can refresh projections.

Either clicking this button, or refreshing the page will refresh projections. We will automatically also refresh projections anytime you return to or open up a new slate.

Refreshing projections does change the projections you see in the player table, however, it does not rebuild lineups on its own, and it does not re-run your contest sims. You’re still working with lineups and sim data that was built on outdated projections.

Ultimately, rebuilding your lineups after sims run is best practice. This way, you’re always working with the most up-to-date information.

In practice, you’ll have to decide for yourself if it’s worth rebuilding. If you’re out of time, or you’re just doing an early research build, you may not need to rebuild every time you see the projections icon turn green. You can also use the lineup-alerts channels in Discord to determine if the sim was impactful enough to warrant rebuilding.

If you are in a time crunch and cannot afford to rebuild entirely, re-running your contest sims alone with the new projections will make sure you’re playing the best possible lineups with what you have.
