SaberSim provides ownership projections for all sports and slates that we have simulations for. Our ownership projection is the percentage of lineups in a large field GPP that we expect to roster that particular player. For example, if Byron Buxton's ownership projection is 17.7, that means that we think in a large field GPP, 17.7% of lineups are likely to roster Byron Buxton on average.

To generate these numbers, we take an industry aggregate projection and build thousands of lineups in SaberSim at a high variance setting, and then use the exposures to certain players that we get as the ownership projection in the app. This is a very strong approach to generating ownership projections, because it's actually based around constructing lineups. For example, sometimes a certain player may be popular or chalky because they just fit well with other projected players. You need to be able to actually build lineups to generate ownership projections to pick up on this nuance. This approach also allows us to react very quickly to breaking news and provide ownership projections for all slates that we have simulations for, because this process can run automatically every time new sims run.
